On our first day we travel to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, a 130-mile stretch of barrier islands steeped in history. Upon arrival check into our Kitty Hawk hotel before joining your travel companions for a welcome dinner. 🅓

Along the northern stretches of the Outer Banks, the Mustang Corolla wild horses continue to roam the beaches, dune fields and maritime forest as they have for hundreds of years. Join our naturalist on a 4WD vehicle as we search for these creatures running wild and free.

We end at Currituck Beach Lighthouse at Currituck Heritage Park. Feel free to climb the 220 steps to the top!

We’ll grab lunch in the sweet town of Duck and head to the Wright Brothers National Memorial, where we’ll tour the new visitors center exploring the accomplishments of the Wright Brothers. We’ll enjoy an included dinner this evening. 🅑🅓

After breakfast we follow the Outer Banks Scenic Highway all the way down to Hatteras. Along the way, we’ll stop at Bodie Island Lighthouse, one of the most picturesque lighthouses on the Outer Banks. Our next stop is at the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum in Hatteras Village, a unique museum dedicated to preserving the rich maritime history of the area. Finally, one last lighthouse– Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the tallest brick beacon on the American coast. Savor your last night with an included farewell dinner this evening. 🅑🅓

Take a last look at Outer Banks and head back home after a wonderful trip! 🅑
