Travel through Massachusetts and into Maine. Our first stop is Portland Maine, where we meet our local step on guide for a tour of the city and her famous Portland Head Light House. Discover Portland’s diverse history and hidden gems such as the childhood home of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, the Victoria Mansion, and the bustling Old Port. Continue along the rocky coast to Cape Elizabeth for a visit to Portland Head Light, Maine’s oldest and most photographed lighthouse. Dinner on own in Portland before overnighting at the Best Western Merry Manor. B

Continuing along the coast we head today to Boothbay Harbor. Here we join Cap’n Fish’s cruise into the bay to get an idea of how those delicious lobsters (which you will dine on this evening) are caught; how the traps are hauled and a little background of Maine’s famous lobster industry, all with an audience of seals basking on the rocks. Free time to wander the water front before donning your plastic bib for a Traditional Maine Lobster Bake. Overnight at the Flagship Inn Boothbay Harbor. B D

Continuing up the coast we reach the town of Bar Harbor, home to Acadia National Park. Compromised of over 49,000 acres of rock-bound coast on Mount Desert Island on the Schoodic Peninsula, here you will find granite cliffs side by side with sand and cobblestone beaches, glacier-carved mountains, deep lakes in their valleys, meadows, marshes and dense evergreen forests. With our local guide, we drive the 27-mile scenic Park Loop Road which begins at the Hulls Cove Visitor Center. Dinner is included this evening and overnight at the Acadia Inn Bar Harbor. B D

Free day in Bar Harbor to browse the many quaint shops & galleries, visit a museum, hike and enjoy the large variety of wonderful restaurants. B

Bid farewell to Maine as we take the inland road back South and head for Providence Rhode Island. Along the way we stop in Portsmouth New Hampshire located on the coast on a small gateway to the sea between Maine & Massachusetts. Here we visit Strawbery Banke, a 10-acre living history museum that has preserved the lifestyles and traditions of four centuries of New Englanders. Here you can see 40 buildings – most on their original sites – spanning from the late 1600s to the mid-1950s. From the spare storefronts of colonial merchants to the elegant Georgian-style mansion of Governor Goodwin, from the humble dwellings of early Jewish immigrants to the penny candy counter of the WWII-era Abbott Store, Strawbery Banke tells the stories of a neighborhood over time. There is a café on site for lunch on own. Continue to Providence RI and check into our hotel, The Hampton Inn Pawtucket. Dinner is included this evening. B D

Today we travel into Pennsylvania with an afternoon stop in Adamstown PA. Nestled in the countryside of northeastern Lancaster County, Adamstown is known as “Antiques Capital, USA” and is recognized as the premier year-round antiques destination in the Northeast. This shopping mecca is home to thousands of antiques shops and dealers. Their treasures of the past range from fine furniture and historic postcards to redware and quirky collectibles. Check into The Hotel Lancaster in Lancaster PA and enjoy dinner at Plain & Fancy Restaurant. B D

Today experience the matinee performance of the Sight & Sound Theatre production of Jesus! Experience the greatest rescue story of all time! Jesus is the action-packed musical stage adventure that takes you on a miraculous journey alongside the most famous person to ever walk the earth, and the everyday people whose lives he changed forever. Free time for lunch after the show, then continue our journey to Richmond VA and check into the Holiday Inn Richmond South. Farewell dinner included and overnight. B D

After breakfast we must return to Georgia with a late afternoon arrival back home. B
