In addition to discovering the traditions and enthusiasm of the sport, student groups take away valuable lessons about the importance of leadership and hard work. Explore how aspects of sports connect to T.E.A.M.S.™ curricula – Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Mathematics and Science.

World of Coke

Students will learn while exploring the complete story—past, present and future—of the world’s best-known brand! From a thrilling multisensory 4-D theater to a marvelously restored 1880’s soda fountain, you’ll experience something new and inviting around every corner. You and your students have so much to learn and will also take home a special one-of-a-kind World of Coca-Cola glass bottle produced exclusively for our guests on our fully-functioning bottling line. Snap a photo with our 7-foot Coca-Cola Polar Bear. Take your taste buds on a tantalizing tour with over 60 different products to sample from around the world or create your own refreshing blend. Inside, you’ll find there’s a secret formula to everything we do. Pre and post-visit activities and Georgia Performance Standard guides are available for grades K-12.

Georgia Aquarium

The world’s largest aquarium with over 100,000 marine animals from 500 different species! Playful otters and sea lions will bring a smile to your face, and the beauty of the 5 Beluga Whales will have you hypnotized. Gigantic whale sharks are exhibited in the Ocean Voyager Hall where schools of rays and tropical fish create a myriad of colors. Twenty-five percent of the public floor space has been dedicated to educating students of all ages who visit the Aquarium. The recently added dolphin exhibit adds 84,000 square feet to the facility, including a 1.3 million gallon exhibit to accommodate bottlenose dolphins, including dolphin encounters, viewing windows, and dolphin shows. A visit to the Georgia Aquarium always includes a behind the scenes educational tour and Deepo’s Undersea 3D Wondershow!

BODIES…The Exhibition

At BODIES…The Exhibition, students will see real human specimens dissected and preserved to display the intricacies of each body system. Students will also see the effects on the body of disease and unhealthy life choices – what happens to the lungs, for example, when people smoke. BODIES…The Exhibition provides an unprecedented opportunity for learning human anatomy, health, and biology.

CNN Studios

Take a backstage tour inside CNN Studio’s, the global headquarters of The Worldwide Leader in News. Your students will get a firsthand look at how the news is gathered, written and reported by the inventors of 24-hour news. Plans and activities are available to enrich your tour of CNN’s world headquarters before, during and after your trip.

Fox Theater

The historic Fox Theatre is one of Atlanta’s premiere venues for live entertainment. Atlanta’s Fox Theatre, originally the Yaarab Temple Shrine Mosque, was designed in the late 1920s as headquarters for the 5,000-member Shriners organization. It was a beautifully outlandish, opulent, and grandiose monument during the excesses of the pre-crash 1920s. Students will experience the grand architecture of the mosque-like structure complete with minarets, onion domes, and an interior décor even more lavish than its façade. The Fox’s 4,678 seat theatre is booked more than 300 performances a year ranging from Broadway to rock to comedy to movies.

Medieval Times

A field trip of epic proportions. Watch as your lesson plans come to life in our 11th century-style castle. It’s an interactive educational experience your students will treasure.

Atlanta Zoo

With a living laboratory representing more than 200 species, Zoo Atlanta offers countless opportunities for teachers and students to explore, discover, observe and apply real-world context to the lessons learned in school. There’s always something exciting going on at Zoo Atlanta including animal keeper talks, training demonstrations, shows, animal encounters and more! Specific educational programs can be added. Content covers Georgia Performance Standards for your grade in a lively, engaging format. Program activity packets developed by Zoo staff and certified Georgia teachers include activities to conduct with your class prior to your visit, right after your program while at the Zoo, and once you return to the classroom.

Fernbank Museum

A grade specific education program at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History makes for a great addition to any trip. Choose your program from weather, dinosaurs, earthquakes and Georgia’s plants and animals. Choose an IMAX movie to see, selections will depend upon what is available during your trip dates.
