The home of NASA’s space program provides students with tons of educational opportunities that are out of this world! Students will view ten-story rockets from all eras of space exploration in the Rocket Garden, walk through a full-size Space Shuttle mock-up, see an IMAX space film, and see an actual Gemini program capsule on display! Also see awesome NASA facilities, including the massive launch pads, Vehicle Assembly Building, and explore the awe-inspiring Apollo/Saturn V Center.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex℠ introduces Heroes & Legends, a new immersive experience that celebrates the brave men and women of America’s fledgling space program. Relive the stories of NASA’s pioneering astronauts and discover why they chose to launch into the great unknown. Their stories have the power to ignite heroism within us all. Heroes & Legends seeks to inspire new generations of space explorers, while serving as a compelling prologue to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex guest experience.

Students have the opportunity to discover the science involved in creating the world’s most technologically advanced theme park. Behind The Adventure showcases the physics, technology, horticulture and general sciences that went into designing and building this state-of-the-art theme park.
Islands of Adventure is a journey through five remarkable islands where all your favorite myths, legends, comic books, cartoon heroes and children’s stories come to life on the most innovative rides and attractions ever created. Through interactive shows and rides students will learn about the magic of movie making from the first script all the way to the big screen! Exciting shows will educate the audience of the production and work that goes into a film.
WonderWorks provides an active learning experience for students. With an emphasis on science, math, art and physical education; students will spark their imaginations, engage in physical activities and challenge their minds at one of the Orlando attractions kids love most. Students will discover and explore over 100 interactive and educational exhibits…learning while having fun!
Disney’s Youth Education Series (Y.E.S.) transports students behind the scenes of Walt Disney World Theme Parks to showcase textbook principles. Students can be found swirling through G-force motion to test the laws of physics, meeting people and experiencing what life is like on the other side of the globe, and checking out all kinds of careers from business to acting. Each grade level will participate in one of the YES Programs that coincides with the curriculum being taught in the classroom! The following information will help plan for the trip.
Watch as lesson plans come to life in an 11th century style castle during a special educational matinee at Medieval Times. Students will cheer on their favorite Knight as they compete in a tournament featuring jousting, sword fights and more. Also witness the beauty and grace of Andalusian Stallions. Along with the show students will dine on a four course meal fit for royalty!
