Meet your Kelly Tours coach and tour escort and travel west across the state with a stop for lunch, on own, in route to Bainbridge, GA, where we will overnight. After checking in, we depart for Colquitt, GA, for dinner and then take our seats for a production of “Swamp Gravy” at the Cotton Hall Theatre. “Swamp Gravy” is the Official Folk Life Play of Georgia, that delights audiences of all ages. After an included breakfast at your hotel this morning, we check out and depart for Cordele, GA, to the GA Veterans State Park to board our SAM Shortline Peanut Express Train. Our first stop will be in Leslie, GA, where you will have time to tour the GA Rural Telephone Museum. Enjoy a boxed lunch on the train as we travel to President Jimmy Carter’s hometown of Plains, GA. Explore the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site Museum, the train depot Campaign Headquarters, The Billy Carter Service Station & Museum, shop the retail stores on Main Street, and sample some peanut butter treats. Our motorcoach will meet us in Plains. After our time in Plains, we board our coach and head for home. There will be a rest stop and dinner stop, on own, en route. B L
